Removing Apps from iPad Home Page
I'm trying to remove (not delete) an app from my home page. I don't see the usual "Remove App" and the subsequent "Remove from Home Screen" option. How can I remove apps from the home screen?

Hi Sterling,
I am using the iPad Air 3 running iOS 14.5.1.
I wanted to de-clutter my home screen and “remove the apps from home scree” (not delete them from my device. This is possible on the iPhone. On the iPhone, if I press and hold an app icon, I usually get a Remove App option.
On the iPad, I was not seeing that option. Removing the app essentially moves the app to the App Library.
I later learnt that the iPad OS does not support this feature since it does not have App Library.
Thank you for taking the time to reply back to me.

Hi anson258,
We understand you're unable to remove applications from your device. We're happy to help.
To start, we'd suggest providing more specific detail about what you're seeing. When you press and hold on an app icon, what options does it give you? Have you previously been able to remove applications from the device? If so, did you set up any sort of restrictions or device management profile on the device since the last time you were able to remove apps?
Answers to questions like these will help to give the community a better idea of what you're seeing so members can provide more relevant responses.
In the meantime, here's some basic info about removing applications that may be helpful: Organize the Home Screen and App Library on your iPhone
We look forward to your reply. Cheers!
