'Love' on Apple Watch creates duplicates in macOS Music

For quite some time now I have seen songs from certain albums being duplicated in my macOS Music app. One downloaded to my Mac and another still in the cloud (cloud icon). Whenever I have some time I delete these duplicated songs via sorting them in my song view. But it has become tedious.

That's when I started to try figuring out what triggers these duplicates. So far I have linked the behaviour to 'loving' a song on my Apple Watch when I'm playing music on my iPhone. Whenever I 'love' a song on my watch, I come back to my Mac and see that numerous songs from that album have duplicated. So, not only the song I 'loved'.

Does somebody know what causes this behaviour and how I can fix this? Deleting all the duplicated songs on a daily basis or not 'loving' songs on my watch is not really a solution in my opinion. ;-)
