hello, to update an iPod (should mention if your iPod is old it may have become obsolete rendering it "unupdatable")

on computer

1: connect your iPod to your Mac/ windows computer.

2: around this point you should have gotten a message informing you about an update.

3: accept the message and follow the on screen instructions. (if you do not see the message, you should notice as soon as your iPod opens the iPod menu page (this can also be found by clicking the icon on the top left of your screen on top of your library).

4: read the information in the 1st grey box on the "summary" menu. locate update "check for update".

5: click on this box and follow on screen instructions. remember, old iPods cannot be updated as they are "obsolete"

on the iPod (only works for the iPod touch)

1: open the settings app and find the "general" menu

2: you should notice once your in the "general" menu that there is a page called software update. click on it and follow the on screen instructions and remember. if it is old it may be un able to update).
