I want to play this with my kids. However we los the remote. I downloaded the app to use it with the Apple TV game however the app won’t load. Can I buy another Apple TV remote to play the game with? I don’t know what kind works with just dance ?

Game reviews and their site seem to indicate that the Siri Remote or a companion app on iPhone can be used as controller. The old model Apple Remote (aluminum) is not suitable as controller for this game, as it can’t track your moves.
That is correct. The new Siri Remote (2nd generation) that comes with the new Apple TV 4K (2nd generation) unfortunately lacks an accelerometer and gyroscope.
It doesn’t look like the new Apple TV Siri remote (4k 2021) work with “Just Dance Now” as of June 2021.
So Apple is making very difficult - I couldn't register the older Siri Remote (Apple TV HD black remote) with Apple TV 4K (2021). The only option I have now is to keep both Apple TV HD and 4K, which is a waste. I wonder how developer react with this.
I am equally as frustrated. Upgraded so kids could use the remote to play their games, was super delighted Apple had finally put a mute button on the remote to find out that they can’t play any of the games which require the gyroscope to function.
But the siri or the regular one? Also there was a black one as well I saw online? with a touch deal? If I get the $19 one will it work with the just dance on the apple tv?
True, I now need to keep both Apple TV 4K (2nd Generation) and Apple TV HD, since I cannot pair to use the Apple TV HD (gyro compatible) remote Apple TV 4K (2nd Generation).
