Bose SoundTouch App

I am unable to launch the updated app on my MacBook Pro. I get the message that “SoundTouch-osx-installer” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. I tried right-clicking and choosing Open from the menu, but the app still does not open.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15

Are you using the version from the Mac App Store:

If that fails, see if this article and the links within it help:


Apple can’t check app for malicious software - Apple Support


If that does not help. it means Bose has not updated that software to current standard for a while, and you'll need to ask them to provide a compatible version.
