iPad screen cover or pen tip?

Hi everyone,

Just a quick question: I pre-ordered my new iPad, but it's the first one I'm getting with a pen. As I have no experience writing with a pen on an iPad, I'm wondering which is better for me (for taking notes): "Paperlike" screen cover, or those little silicon pen tips?

Are there pencil tips that are less slick or slippery, ie more like writing on paper? I find the pencil tips and the screen of my iPad (Gen3) too slick to write on well. I tried a screen cover (PaperLike or some name like that). I didn't like the gray cast it gave the screen. Plus I had a devil of a time getting it one cleanly with all of the cat hair in my house (basically I didn't). Anyway, I found it less than satisfactory both on aesthetics and I can't say I liked the performance all that much. So, are there alternative Pencil tips out there anyone can recommend? Thanks.
