Transferring FCPX project and media files

I acquired a new digital external hard drive. I transferred my FCPX media and project files from an older hard drive. This was about 900 gigs of files. When I launched FCPX I found almost all the files need to be relinked. What is the best way to fix this so I can continue working from the new drive?

Select the library itself in the browser sidebar.

Choose File->Relink Files...

Select either Missing, or All. In this case, I suppose you may want to select "All" so every clip in your library points to the new location. Select all the files in the list, and click Locate Selected...

Select the top level of the new drive and click Choose

Now click Relink Files and let FCP relink them all. It may take a little while.
