Yes you can, but why do you want to? Also, there is a procedure for doing so and then reinstalling your operating system and saved data.
Someone wants to donate their computer to non profit but wants to delete the data on the computer first. So what's the procedure. Everything I've found on the internet has not worked.
I've tried that and it DOES NOT work. When I get to the Disk Utility the format option is grayed out and the only option I'm given is to erase the unused area.
