Remove Find my Mac - On a laptop that I sold

Hi everybody, im sure others have had this... For some reason when I sold my old Macbook after I erased it all and took off iCloud... I still see it in find my mac Map.. But yet its not listed under my devices... How to remove it? Do I have to call the new owner to remove it? Does that mean he has my iCloud still?

Sold MacBook Showing on “Find My” App As the title says I can see the sold MacBook from months ago on the Find My app. I only realised this because I switched back to an iPhone recently. I believe I followed the correct process from the Apple website on what to do before selling the MacBook. I signed out of iCloud, reformatted (a couple of times actually), reset NVRAM, etc. I have also changed my Apple ID password and logged out of all devices. I may have forgot to turn off Find My Mac, but this is a maybe. Either way the new owner clearly never signed into their own iCloud account on the MacBook. Each time I remove the device it comes back a little while later on my list. Probably because the MacBook goes online again. What can I do here? Can the new owner have access to my iCloud (I doubt they can)? Thanks.

Used MacBook "Find my" Help. I just bought a used MacBook and when I went to set it up, after putting my Apple ID, I got to the "find my mac" screen and it still says the previous owners Apple ID will be used to remote lock and erase it. Reading every thing online says the MacBook could be stolen, or lost, or the previous owner sold it without removing their Apple ID from the "find my mac" prior to selling it. Of course, as soon as I tell the seller what I found, he admits he isn't the original owner, and the computer was sold to him from someone else. First, I can't reach the person with the Apple ID so there is no way to ask them to remove it. Can I remove it completely? I've read about resetting the NVRAM, but can the previous owner still remote lock and erase it? Or, do I even bother and just return it? Help please.

Yes I have done all of this but yet its still the buyers location is on my iCloud... and no way to remove them.
