People can't hear me

Something is wrong with my microphone, people can't hear me and I can't use Siri. The camera microphones work fine and you know when you highlight a word you get 'Copy' 'Look Up' 'Share' and 'Speak'? Well 'Speak' is gone, so it's probably not just a hardware issue.

CarPlay microphone not working properly on iOS16 on iPhone 14 ProMax I have two iPhone 14 Pro Maxes that I got last week that are running iOS 16. Since upgrading my phones, when I connect to either of my cars (both Subarus) via Apple cable to CarPlay and make a call, the caller can barely hear me. Prior to upgrade, I had an iPhone 11 Pro Max and an iPhone 12 Pro Max using CarPlay in these same vehicles using the same cables and people could hear me clear as ever. Actually, I was always very impressed at how clearly the microphone picked up and filtered out background noise. So is this problem iOS 16? Or is it the iPhone 14 Pro Maxes? I’ve not tested to see if it’s using the phone’s microphone or not. I just know that I sound like I’m VERY far away from the mic and very quiet. If I’m on a call and unplug from CarPlay or just tap my speakerphone button, they can hear me perfectly fine. So I don’t think it’s using my phone’s microphone… or if it is, it’s using it in regular phone mode, not speakerphone mode. I make many calls from the car, so this is not good! I also had Subaru update my head unit (factory) to the latest version just to ensure it wasn’t something with my car. But it’s happening with two phones, two cars, so I think we can say it’s definitely the phones/iOS.

Siri will not speak after installing 16.1 on my iPad Siri will not speak the screen after users install the 16.1 OS update. The screen dims a little bit and then Siri says: "Sorry, There's nothing to read here." This happens with Apple News, Pocket, websites with Safari, etc. With the Brave browser, the screen goes dark just before Siri says "Sorry, There's nothing to read here." The 16.1 OS update is causing whatever is on the screen to appear as invisible to Siri with the new 12.9 inch iPad Pro. None of this was a problem with iPadOS 15.7 on the 11 inch 2021 iPad Pro or with the iPhone 14 Pro Max and 16.0.3 OS. Vision impaired users depend on Siri speaking the screen. A workaround is to get the keyboard to appear. Siri will then speak the screen after an oral prompt. However, this extra step should not be necessary, and it is not always an option. It is not an option with Apple News, Pocket, etc. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Siri sounding weird only when reading texts Hey, ive been experiencing some issues with my siri recently. After i updated my phone to ios16 it was working fine for a couple days but recently my siri started sounding more robotic than it should. Everything else works fine (sound, audio) with and without airpods. I tried a bunch of video to fix the problem, i even tried some solutions on the community page. With airpods on siri sounds fine but when it reads my texts is when it starts to sound weird. I currently have it set to a british male. When being announced with messages it sounds like a weird robotic female. ive tried so many thing to try and resolve it. If you could please help that would be great.
