My 7 crash broken screen would not work so I bought a 12 I want to make sure I transfer and capture my data like pictures and videos and important documents before I erase and remove the device that is old the 7 so I need your tips on that please

You have stated that you have broken screen that is not working on your iPhone 7. You also have an iPhone 12 that you would like to transfer the data from your iPhone 7. You are not going to be able to directly transfer data from your iPhone 7 because you cannot see anything on its screen and therefore will not be able to unlock it and enter the authentication information.
What you can do is restore your iPhone 12 from a back up file created from your iPhone 7. This backup file can either be from iCloud or your computer. If you do not have a backup file then you will not be able to transfer data UNLESS you get you the screen fixed on your iPhone 7.

Axel, THANK YOU!! Finally, I understand the simple and logical answer from a smarter than me guy. Seriously, when I read your one paragraph response - you were not complicated - and it maKes perfectO sense to me. Now, I'll see what can be.

but I may be in market for a HIGHER CAPACITY MACBOOK that won't disappoint as did my second MBPro 13 retina 121GB (nothing. No space to fart much less sync/ back up/ or enjoy the apps iTunes or garage band (kept saying delete files in order to back up etc. Even the geniuses at chads north park apple couldn't Time Machine this 7+ to the $1500 MacBook Pro (purchased new at the same time) "thing" in four hours while I went to go see a movie. "Hunnnnnnnnh? I dunnoooooooooo, it just dweedles wooodn't doo-doo it."
