How did the name associated with my Apple ID change. I logged in today with my Apple ID and my wife's name is now associated with my Apple ID. All the information is still mine just the name changed. Better yet, how do I change it back to my name? I recently gave my wife my iPhone X and as part of the transfer of data I renamed the phone to her name. Could that have done it?

It sounds like you need to change the Apple ID. Please see: Sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, or Mac - Apple Support, then Sign in with your Apple ID - Apple Support.
