what happened to cover flow?

when iPods and even iPhone were popular, we saw product art of Nelly Furtado, Green Day and even Macy Grey in cover flow. but now, even when us go apple fans miss it, we never see cover flow. even though it was the most fun way to search back in it's day, why though.

Animated Cover Art Why hasn’t Apple Dev Team made the Animated Cover Art feature an option for Apple Music Subscribers? As far as I know Apple has made Animated Cover Art only a feature that, they themselves can use as well as Artists. So in other words, If you’re not an Apple dev or a famous singer, you don’t have the option to add an Animated Cover Art to your Apple Music playlists. Yes that’s right, you are not allowed to have animated cover art even if you’re paying for Apple Music subscription. Let alone the fact that you own your iPhone. Hilarious. I miss cover flow too, but it is what it is. I don't think there is any particular explanation for why it was removed other than to make way for something new.
