Safari opens unknown tab.

Whenever I open my safari or a new tab in safari an unknown tab/website opens up based on my previous search. It is too irritating to close such tabs so often. It also has privacy concerns. Someone, please recommend me a solution.

Quit Safari. Launch Safari holding the Shift key down.

"On your Mac, you can also update your settings to prevent windows from opening again after you close Safari, or just press and hold the Shift key when you open Safari."
