Replacing battery in series 1 Apple watch

If I purchased my series 1 Apple Watch on sept 5, 2018, am I eligible to get repaired? The Apple Watch is splitting apart and I understand this is from the battery swell

Contact Apple Support and inform them of the situation. If it is a swollen battery and out of warranty, you would be responsible for the battery cost, but Apple will repair the damage it caused with no charge to you.

Yes, you can get it fixed from apple. Did you purchase apple care with it? If its still under warranty they will replace it, if not you will have to pay for the repair.
