iphone virus??

I believe my iphone may have a virus as it is exhibiting odd behaviour. From what I’ve read this is super rare but I can’t think of any other explanation. For example, when I am scrolling through various apps my phone will return to the top of the feed without me tapping to do so. Or when I’m watching Netflix, you know how you tap the screen and the option to pause and play comes and goes, it’ll do that by itself. I thought I was over reacting but my phone has been doing it for the past 4 days and it’s extremely worrying.

I just want to know if I’m right and if so what I can do to fix it. I’ve read that you can wipe your phone then restore from a back up. But my last back up was at least a year ago and I fear that if I was to back up now I’d transfer the virus to my computer (if that’s possible??).

Any help/input would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,

1) Backup your phone now: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

2) The screen touch sensor could be going bad: Get help with the display on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

3) Have it checked: Apple - Find Locations

Good luck.

You do not have a virus unless you have jailbroken your iPhone. And it is highly unlikely you have any malware.

What you are describing are classic signs of a digitizer that is failing. Including the screen seeming to have a ghost that is causing it to jump to other places.

There is no virus or malware to transfer so you can back up to your computer or iCloud and will pass nothing.

Hi,

Thanks for your help.

I don't think there's anything wrong with my touch sensor as it 'reacts' fine normally except for when I'm scrolling. I don't even have to touch the screen and it'll jump back to the top of the feed (or the message thread).

About backing up my iPhone: I'm not sure when the last time I backed it up was, meaning the version on my MacBook is fairly old. If I was to back it up again, is there a chance the virus could transfer to my computer?

I'm sorry if these questions sound dumb, I'm definitely not experienced in this kind of stuff and I'd kinda of concerned that there's something wrong with my phone.

Thanks again.
