Do the iPad and the computer being used for SideCar have to be logged into the same Apple ID?

Yes. Sidecar functionality requires that both your Mac and iPad are signed-in with the same AppleID.

Can I use sidecar on my families iPad Pro 11 signed in with a different appleid ? Is there a way to use sidecar feature when the ipad is signed in under a differet appleid ? Sidecar alternative I currently have a MBP 2019 running on MacOS Cataline and it is definitely compatible with sidecar, but my Ipad is just an Ipad Mini first generation with a different apple id which is my mom's. Are there alternative softwares or features or third party stuff that can act like sidecar so I can make them work together?
