Strange issue with series 5

My watch when put on charge sometimes doesn’t connect properly it will beep to say it’s on charge but won’t charge and will also say watch is on 1% even if it’s got 50% but after a few times taking it on and off charge it charges properly, also when put on my wrist if the watch displays correct battery percentage the crown doesn’t work properly and watch is super laggy but if the watch says 1% on my wrist it works perfectly fine has anyone had this issue before?
