can’t watch videos my files app

There is a slash through the play button on my files app when i try to watch videos on IPad pro


iPad Pro 10.5-inch, Wi-Fi, Cellular

From your post it would appear that you are not able to play videos that are stored in the files app. Here is some information that should help.


The files app is a great tool for making sure files are available on all your Apple devices. One of the ways it does this is by storing the files on iCloud and putting a link to the file on your device. In the case of video files, if you tap on the file it should download the file to the actual device. Once it is downloaded, it should play.
