Windows on IMac
is it possible to get windows on my desk top?

Another option is buying Parallels and then you can run both MS Windows and Mac OS simultaneously. This is very useful if you need to access both environments at the same time. Using Boot Camp is the least expensive method and is excellent. Parallels is equally excellent however there is an annual fee of about $70.
Either method will require that you also buy a license of MS Windows and install it as well as having licenses for the MS Windows apps you want to use.
