Sure… depending on the model and year of manufacture of your MacBook….you have a choice… usb 2 or 3, usb-c or Bluetooth.. you can use usb 2 or 3 with usb-c with a simple cheap adapter.. usb-a female to usb-c.. however, these days, you get two usb-c ports/sockets and that’s it. So a usb-c dock is recommended.. however i don’t know what model and year of manufacture of macbook you have

Absolutely. Apple has a mouse specifically for MacBooks that are about $100.
