sim not supported

i just got my phone turned on and its saying sim is not supported.

That means that the iPhone is locked to a carrier, and the SIM you inserted is not for that carrier. You need to contact the carrier that holds the lock and ask them to unlock it. Here is more information→How to unlock your iPhone for use with a different carrier - Apple Support
