An app has been purchasing 'in-app' purchases without my authorisation. Apple say the iPad did purchase them, but we have secure passwords and thumb prints so that only I can authorise it

You can ask for a refund using these steps:--> Request a refund for apps or content that you bought from Apple - Apple Support
We, just users like you, cannot decide about that. Apple will judge if your request is eligible.

No way for us to offer you an appropriate answer, sorry.
Personally, I use mobile Apple iOS devices since the end of 2008, downloading apps & in-apps from AppStore, cancelling subscriptions, etc, but I was never charged for anything without permission. But this is probably a useless answer for you (I just wanted to inform you of my experience).

Thank you for the reply. This has been going on since March, they have refunded me twice, but never 'supported' me on the problem which is that purchases are being made 'with-out' me authorising it!
