Bluetooth problem

Hi.

Ever since I bought my iPhone 11 I have this issue when I'm using Waze with the phone connected to the car via bluetooth. All voice directions are incomplete. For example, if the voice direction should say "in eight hundreds meters turn right" I only get "...hundreds meters turn right". This thing is happening only when connected to the car. If I listen the voice directions through phone speakers, everything is ok. i didn't had this problem with my previous phone (iPhone 6s, iOS 12). Since the car is the same as before, Waze is the same as before and the only change is the phone I'm guessing the problem should be with the phone. Voice directions are sent to the car as a phone call so, maybe, the phone should wait for the handshake or something.... Just a thought.

Any idea on how to solve this issue?

Hi citizen74,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help with the third-party app Waze and your car's bluetooth connection to your iPhone. It sounds like spoken directions are incomplete.

We'd advise following these steps regarding Waze: If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open.

You can also try restarting your device and toggling Bluetooth off and back on in  Settings > Bluetooth.

Unpairing the car and iPhone then setting them up again with it may also help: Pair a third-party Bluetooth accessory with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Have a fantastic day!

Hi.

Thanks' for the reply. Unfortunately none of that helped.

But, I found out that, if I switch the car media system from radio/CD/USB to mp3 Play and play music from the phone, everything is fine. To me is obvious that it's a handshake/connection problem, probably due to a battery saving attempt from apple or a problem with my phone's Bluetooth. Either way I would very much appreciate a solution or, at least, a workaround. I honestly would like not to have to play music from my phone in order to get complete driving directions from Waze.
