how to repair corrupted files

I had some corrupted files on an external hd formated in AFPS encrypted that refused my passpord and refused to mount. I had Disk Drill that recovered the files on another external hd formatted in NTFS. All files are corrupted, any recommendations fix corrupted files.

Fix corrupted files NOT file recovery slightly different.

Any suggestions or experience to fix Corrupted files?

Restore the macOS-related files from a Time Machine or other backup. That is how you repair corrupt files on macOS, as there is no magic bullet in macOS to fix corrupt files other than their recovery as stated in the preceding sentence.

Those corrupt files may only be partially recovered or reconstructed in a different manner than their applications recognize, and then there is the encryption factor to make things worse.
