How to save my screen recording in .mp4 format ?

Hello, is it possible to save the recording file in another format than .mov? Because this format is not practical to send to a Windows user. Thank you.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.14

Thank you for your answer. So I guess it is not natively possible to do this without additional software.

By the way, squared5 is unfortunately incompatible with the new macOS Big Sur version.

I will download another software.

Hi,

1. Open Quicktime Player and choose File > New Screen Recording.

2. Click the red Record button.

3.... Close Quicktime.

Download MPEG Streamclip from following site. http://www.squared5.com
Open MPEG Streamclip, and drag your video file into the program.
Click File > Export to MPEG-4.
Click Make MP4.
Click Save.
