Software Update not recognizing Admin Password

When I try to update my MacBook Air (M1 2020) from 11.2 to 11.3.1, I receive the following message in Software Update: "Software Update is trying to authenticate user. Enter password for the user "MyUserName" to allow this." I enter the correct password (which works in all other circumstances) and the window shakes as if it is invalid.

I have tried the following:

Restarting the Computer

Shut down, Close Lid, Wait 2 mins, Restart

Create new Admin Account

Change Admin Password

This is a computer that uses a network account to log in. However, we have also tried to use the local account that set up the network account, and it has also failed.
