Can I use a HomePod mini with my Mac if I do not have an iPhone?

You have to have an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad to setup the HomePod. Setting up the HomePod can’t be done from a Mac.

Once the HomePod has been setup, you can AirPlay to it from a Mac.
