best display profile for imac 2013

Somehow my old iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012) with NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 512 MB screen now displays as paled colored with a grayish dull look, after upgrading software to the now OS X El Capitan version 10.11.6. Tried several older "display profiles" and missing beveled indentations between Safari open tabs with poor display, as if playing an old technicolor film. Anyone has a good display profile I can use to turn my iMac back to intended color display again? All the letters are pale and not sharp, but worst part is the color is so dull now.

  1. Go to > Apple > System Preferences > Accessibility > Display and make sure that the Display contrast: is set to Normal.
  2. I’ve always found the iMac display profile to be light and washed out for the older iMac’s. I would try one of the Adobe RGB, Generic RGB or other sRGB profiles.
