How to show notification center permanently on the lock screen?

Hi everyone!

I switch back from Android to iPhone ~6 months ago and one thing that still bugs me all this time is how notifications are handled in iOS. For me this is simply way worse than Android and I many times missed stuff already because it just doesn't make sense.

One example that I even tried to Google and could not find an answer to: How can I permanently show the notification center on the lock screen?

Here what I mean:

1. I wake my iPhone, and all I see is this:

⇒ Looks nice! Like there is nothing to worry about.

2. BUT: IF I remember to swipe up, then suddenly all the notifications show up (it was 3 before, got rid of some) because the notification center doesn't show by default:

Also when the iPhone is unlocked, there is NO indication AT ALL that there are notifications anywhere. I literally have to go and look. And if I don't, they'll be in there without ever being seen...

Any "workaround" or fix for this? For me notifications only make sense if they are clearly visible until I get rid of them.

Thanks!

Hello Steve,

It sounds like you're having trouble with notifications on your iPhone.

There are a few settings you'll want to take a look at. First, make sure you're not using Do Not Disturb or have your Silent switch enabled. At that point you can manage your app notifications in Settings > Notifications. You can select the option to have a Persistent Banner style and enable notification sounds for specific apps. Take a look at the resources below.

Hi Dave!

Please read my post again. 😉- Of course I am aware that I won't get notified if "Do not disturb" is enabled. Also I figured out what the silent switch is doing. Persistent banner means the banner will be sticky on top permanently, which I also don't want.

I wrote a pretty specific main question incl. 2 screenshots: How can I set that the notification center always shows in the lock screen?

I might record a video showing all the details why notifications in iOS are pretty bad (*), but in the meantime is there any way to make sure when I look at my lock screen, I see the notification center without having to swipe up first?

Dear Dave,

Don't get me wrong pls, I know this community is all run by volunteers/Apple enthusiasts and I appreciate you taking your time to reply to me (as the only person so far).

So seems -at least to you knowledge- what I want is not possible. OK.

And no, I am NOT going to contact Apple support. (I reach out to them recently because of major issues with Music, iTunes Match and purchased albums. I waisted 3 hours because no. 1 was completely incompetent, no. 2 arrogant and no willing/able to set-up screenshare with me and no. 3 ended up telling me that my purchased music is not available after 10 years anymore. I feel my time is just too precious to get it waisted like this.)

Was just a shot here in this communities. So never mind.
