12.9" 2021 iPad Pro Brightness

Is the screen on the new 12.9" iPad pro capable of reaching 1000 nits under normal use, such as the camera app?

It is a fair question. The specs to which Jack-19 provided a link are somewhat ambiguous:

  • 600 nits max brightness
  • 1000 nits max full-screen brightness; 1600 nits peak brightness (HDR)

It is not clear what the difference between "max brightness" and "max full-screen brightness" is in this instance.


You may need to ask actual Apple Support personnel. (We are just other users here, except for a few Apple folks keeping order ad supply the occasional canned answer to common questions.)
