Someone either hacked my account or created and account in my name. I cannot change my security questions and I don't know the answers since I didn't create them. What do I do?

I was able to change my password. I got a callback from apple support and they could not help me beyond that. When I tried to answer my security questions all of the answers were wrong, and they were not even the questions I would have chosen. Someone apparently created an account using my email address, or hacked the account I created (I don't remember creating one). I want to delete this account, but the system won't let me. What do I do?

So do you have access to your account or not? If you do, then you can simply modify the security questions directly to something you remember if you want to keep the account. You can log in at https://appleid.apple.com with your account to manage it and its security questions.

If you want to completely delete the account from existence, then see here: link-> Understand and control the personal information that you store with Apple - Apple Support

My email address was compromised, not my Apple one however. When I contacted AT&T, they couldn’t be bothered to do anything. 😡 However, I was told that Apple is supposed to help with the security of Apple products. I haven’t contacted them yet, I’ve been busy changing passwords and transferring accounts to my gmail account. I’ll shut down that account after that. Then I’ll contact Apple, since both my phone and my email were compromised.
