Apple (Siri)TV remote not working, probably not charging.

Why might Apple (Siri) TV is not working? Might it not be charging? I'm charging it but have no indication that it is charging.

The remote may have lost its pairing. Pair again as described in

If your Apple TV remote isn’t working - Apple Support


You can see the battery charge level on screen for a functional remote.
