locked out my ipad

I changed my password last night but of course forgot. I checked online what I can do but the thing is my iPad does not have the cable end that enters my 2015 MacBook with the old cable ends. What can I do when they have separate cable ends. And what else can I do now apart from connecting it to my laptop

iPad Pro, iPadOS 14

If you own a 2018 or 2020 iPad Pro, then you need to purchase a USB-C to USB-A ( 1.0 ) or USB-B ( 2.0 ) cable.

You need to completely reset this iPad using a full computer.

So, you need to purchase the correct cable..]

Better quality cables can be found on Amazon by Belkin or Anker Electronics or from Amazon's own Basics brand line.

OR

purchase and use this Apple adapter with your own normal computer USB cables.
