Restart Bar each time I log in

Every time I wake my M1 Macbook Air from sleep since updating to MacOS 11.3, my laptop shows a progress bar with my desktop background behind it. Then, when it reaches 50% of the way, the whole screen goes black until I press a button. After that, it shows the login screen but with "Your login password is required to use Touch ID." instead of just the plain login screen that I can use Touch ID with.

Can someone please tell me how to fix this problem. This annoyance has already wasted 1 hour of my time.
