Apple Music on Apple TV 3
Can I play free music if I have paid subscription for Apple Music on Apple TV ?or do I have to song downloaded to my Mac first?

If you are an Apple Music subscriber you should be able to play your music on Apple TV 3rd gen. The main key here is that you will need to ensure you have turned on Sync Library in the Music app or on your computer that way your 'liked' music shows up on your device.
