Well somehow I managed to get it fixed. Maybe it can help you.

  • Open finder and type Cmd+Shift+G.
  • In the popup window type ~/.config and hit Go.

  • .config folder will open. Now, open qBittorrent folder.
  • Select qBittorrent.ini file an open it with any code editor. I have used Visual Studio Code.

  • Scroll down and on line 34, you will find a variable named password_PBKDF2. Now, remove its value i.e., erase the value written inside double quotes as shown below.

  • Now, save the file and open qBittorrent. You will be able to access it.
  • Try avoiding a click on the lock button and if it happens again repeat this process.
