iCloud download speed
How do I speed up download of my photo library to an iMac. It has taken 24 hours so far with still another 6000 photos to go?

Hey there!
Good question! The first thing I would do is adjust the Energy Saver or Battery Preferences on my Mac, to keep it awake and connected to the network:

And would do the opposite of these settings just temporarily:

After the process is complete, you can select, “Restore Defaults”, to bring back the default settings.
So keeping awake and connected to power is the best way to finish the process, especially if it’s a lot better f photos.
Of course otherwise, keeping the router close and disabling the network on other near by devices, or connecting with an Ethernet Cable is also a good step.
