2 apple IDs 1 icloud

[wall of text] I’m preparing to backup my device (ipad). ONE device. On this device, I have two apple IDs and 1 icloud account. Backstory as to why... awhile back, my apple id was hacked so in addition to changing my password & applying extra security, I also made a new apple ID out of fear & to make purchases on. But I created an issue since my icloud account is still that old email (I still have the email though rarely use). So, since I still actively use both apple IDs on my device (ie: for downloaded apps old & new), I have to toggle between the two to update those apps.

Note: I don’t use iTunes since I had a residence change & now reside in a town in which we JUST got the internet a couple days ago aside from 4G. So, my computer is inoperable as I haven’t dusted it off since 2012. So, I can’t use iTunes for ANY of these things.

QUESTION: Can I & how do I back up BOTH apple IDs to my ONE iCloud account on my ONE device WITHOUT iTunes (Just ONE iCloud). If I can’t.. would I need to create a separate iCloud for the other apple ID & can I then toggle back & forth from one icloud account to the other to back them up separately on the ONE device?

ALSO, is it possible to change my iCloud account from my old email to my newer email/apple ID (the two I already use on my iPad) to ensure safety when backing up my device & linking a credit card to? I dread using my current (old) iCloud because of hacking concerns. I keep getting alerts that are constantly happening of people from all over the world trying to log onto that older account. They haven’t been successful but knowing that it’s happening every other day is making me massively disturbed. So, I would LOVE to change that older iCloud/apple ID to my newer (safe) apple ID in which I would need to make an iCloud for (?) & change on my device. And will I lose anything by switching?

I hope this makes sense... [/wall of text]

You cannot. Only one AppleID can be signed into iCloud at any one time. It is the AppleID that defines the iCloud account. One AppleID by definition defines any given Apple service account (iCloud, iTunes, the App Store, iMessages, FaceTime, etc). There is no way to combine or merge data from different AppleIDs.

AppleIDs are unique personal identifiers and thus each account created with an AppleID is a unique personal account, not associated with any other AppleID.

The only way to move apps between AppleIDs is to delete them, sign into the App Store with the other AppleID and re-download them with that AppleID. If the app is a for fee app, you’ll have to pay again.

Okay. I was afraid of that. BUT...

First Question: I was wondering if I can do a backup on my one iCloud account & the apple id that matches... THEN log out of THAT iCloud/apple id and log into my OTHER apple id (which should have its own iCloud account, if I’m understanding correctly) and THEN do a separate backup of THAT apple id into its separate iCloud? So, 2 separate apple ids, 2 separate iClouds (even though 1 device).

Note: What I’m preparing for is that I’m getting a brand new device since my iPad mini 3 is just a tad out of date.

Second Question: The data that is “backed up” via an iCloud backup in regards to the games are just cached data, right? If not, what IS being backed up to iCloud when it comes to games? I thought game progress is tied to your specific log on for each specific game, right? The game progress isn’t backed up on iCloud, to my understanding. I went through each and every app I have to see how to login when you switch devices. I know I have to re-download ALL my apps anyway. So, as long as I know where all my individual apps are backed up to, whether it be facebook, game center, buddy bumping your old device with the new one, do I need to worry about whatever app data is backed up to iCloud? I don’t do messaging, facetime, Instagram, anything other than games. I do use Twitter, FB, Zillow kinda thing, though & I already backed up ALL my photos to a different cloud service so I don’t need to back up those either.

What data & app data IS being backed up to iCloud OTHER THAN notes, email, voice recordings?

I know I’m long winded af but I need to be detailed. I’m glad I’m researching & asking questions before I just do it & end up sad panda-ing all over the place afterwards.

Thanks for your patience & assistance so far.
