Question

WD SMart Ware - are they updating their app?

my external hard drive doesn't work anymore as it says the developer has not updated their app to work with mac os 11.2.3. What do I do?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.2

Remove the WD Software as per Developer Instruction. Time Machine Backup in Big Sur required the drive be formatted as APFS to function - HFS ( Old System File - does not work

You should not need any external software to access an external hard drive. Just what are you trying to do?

Thanks - I have an external harddrive which i use time machine to back up my laptop. It's worked fine for years, but since this last upgrade it won't back up.
