Ipad for Alzheimers

My mother has Alzheimers and is struggling with her i-pad. Somehow passcodes keep getting reset and she locks herself out of her i-pad. Can we completely disable the passcode? Is there anyway to restrict changes she can make? How do i Alzheimers proof her ipad? She is most familiar with apple products and i really dont want to change to a different tablet. Thanks
