So my family has an Apple payment family sharing where it’s all on one card. Someone wants to use an iTunes gift card credit to buy something in a game. So how would I turn off the card so they can use the credit instead of the default credit card? Do we have to completely turn off purchase sharing? Just confused.

Tell them to redeem the card into their individual account. Nothing else needs to be done unless there's a problem, in which case it can't be done from your end.

We did, but most of the time it still uses the credit card.
