Why my iPhone 7 always hot and some apps not working properly

I’ve had the same issue since updating to 14.6 last night. Are you using the podcast app? When I listen to podcasts the phone is nearly too hot to hold. It’s takes a very long time to charge and the battery drains very fast compared to just yesterday before the update.

Your battery may be defective. Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation.
