IMac - OS upgrade

I currently have macOS High Sierra v 10.13.6 and I am trying to upgrade to Big Sur in order to download a turbotax - can you help.

In order to go to Big Sur you need a 2014 or late iMac. If you have a 2011 then 10.13.6 is the end of the road for a 2011 and you will need to use Turbo tax.com

You need at least macOS 10.14 Mojave. What year is your iMac?
