Seller Wont Unpair Apple Watch

So I bought an Apple Watch from someone on OfferUp and I assumed the reset process would be easy. Just factory reset it and all is well, I did not know that it's a whole unpairing process and the seller did not know that either. I looked it up and I found the step-by-step process on how she can go about it through iCloud. I have the messages, I went to go pick it up, and I followed the factory reset process step by step but her apple Id was still tied to it, that's when the problems started. I asked if she can help, but it seems like she doesn't want to help me out with the process. Where does that put me in the situation? Do I just take the loss and throw away a "dead" apple watch or is there something apple can do for me?? Thanks :(

You seemingly got scammed.


Contact OfferUp too, but you’re headed for recycling the device if the seller has disappeared or otherwise won’t or cannot release the Activation Lock, as is typical for these cases.
