Some Thoughts:

• Processor: Get a 2020 or 2021 MacBook Pro, as they have the M1 Processor. Go Here: Apple Unleashes M1 - Apple
• RAM: Get at lease 16GB or RAM (Because you will be performing high-multitasking)
• Screen: 15" due to more space needed for interacting with the software (the GUI)

the performance difference between MacBook Air and Pro is not that significant. If your budget is limited, get the Air. But whatever you go for, make sure you pick the 16GB RAM as MacBook has a unified memory which generally means that RAM is being shared with GPU.

The MacBook was discontinued over 2 years ago. Current models of Mac laptops are either the MacBook Air or the MacBook Pro.

Get an iMac if you're looking to run big heavy programs like that, or you could get a Macbook pro if your looking for a laptop.
