Hi Mainframe_Reboot,

It sounds like you're not able to use AirDrop after updating. We're glad you've joined us in Apple Support Communities. Let's see if this helps.

Follow the steps in the section, "Before you begin" in How to use AirDrop on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. This will guide you through all the requirements of using AirDrop. You'll need to make sure that the device is nearby and that Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on both devices. You'll also want to make sure that Personal Hotspot is off.

If the issue remains, have you had a chance to restart your iPhone? Restarts resolve issues both big and small. Here's how to Restart your iPhone.

If you still can't use AirDrop, then we'd advise seeing if it's happening with another type of file and a different person. This will test to see if it's just one file or person that's having the issue.

If the issue continues after following those steps, let us know what happened when you checked "Contacts Only" as covered in the first link above. Also, let us know how many different people you've tried to AirDrop with.

We hope that helps with your question and take care!
