I want to shutdown my mac properly.

I cant force quit finder sometimes. Only relaunch. Then the mac will not shutdown except if i hold down start button. What wrong with finder?

Please download and run EtreCheck, and share the report to the clipboard. Open a new reply here and then press the button that looks like a printed page to get a text input box big enough to paste the hardware and software configuration report here.


Usual causes for this misbehavior can range from installed apps to failing hardware, and with other possibilities.


If you don’t have current and complete backups, go get those now.
