I want to shutdown my mac properly.
I cant force quit finder sometimes. Only relaunch. Then the mac will not shutdown except if i hold down start button. What wrong with finder?

That is the correct and default behaviour for the Finder. Why do you feel the need to Force Quit finder? What happens when you select the Shut Down command from the Apple menu?
If i do not shutdown Finder, i cant shutdown the mac. There is no forced shutdown of finder. Only relaunch. Keeps going in circles & i just want to shutdown my mac
What error message are you seeing when you attempt to shut down using the Shut Down command from the Apple menu?
Thats jus it, I select shutdown command, then its says finder is still running, i try to force quit Finder but can only relaunch. Try to shutdown the mac again but it wont let me with same message that finder is still running
Hold the power button in until it shuts off.
After using the power button to force shut down, try restarting in Safe mode to possibly alleviate the problem.
This doesn’t solve the issue, it can happen again. Holding down the power button to shutdown is not a proper shutdown. Seems there is no better fix to quit Finder?
Finder can not be quit. There is never an option to quit finder. The only option ever available will be “Relaunch”. By rebooting in Safe mode, it may solve the issue that is not allowing the computer to shut down properly.

Usual causes for this misbehavior can range from installed apps to failing hardware, and with other possibilities.
If you don’t have current and complete backups, go get those now.
Sorry. My mac is actually a mac mini. No batteries or charger.
