Installer Needs to be Updated

I cannot install HP software for my computer because I am getting the message:

"HP Installer" needs to be updated.

The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS. Contact the developer for more information.

What can I do? I tried to contact HP but they will not help because my product is no longer under waranty. I just bought an expensive pack of ink for this printer and opened it - eeekkkkk

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.13

If it is listed as AirPrint printer, delete the existing printer in


> System Preferences> Printers & Scanners, and add it again, select AirPrint.

Connect an AirPrint printer to a Wi-Fi network - Apple Support.

If you can't print from your Mac or iOS device - Apple Support
